Does anyone know of the renaissance/medieval shop in Montreal’s Old Port?

I stumbled across it a couple of years ago before I lived in Montreal, and now I’ve gone back to Old Port to try and find it, but I can’t. It might be more towards downtown than right in Old Port – I can’t remember. As far as I can remember it had renaissance/medieval Costumes and weapons, and I would really like to be able to find it again…. and I haven’t been able to find it through the search engine.

I remember seeing a medieval shop on St-Denis street in Montreal…don’t not really remember one in Montreal’s Old Port.

I just did a google search on “medieval clothing montreal”, and click on the first result. http://www.cangothfash.com/gothic.htm
And then went to the Quebec section…

They list a shop called “Excalibor” with two locations:
1- 122 St.Paul E. [which is located in Montreal's Old Port]
2- 4400 St-Denis

The name does ring a bell and I have been to the one on the St-Denis Street before.

Well, I just did a 411 search on these addresses and business’ name and I can’t seem to find anything. http://www.411.ca
Pierre is right, it may have been closed down.

Anyhoo, hope this sheds some light to the your question.

Also, there is another shop in Montreal called “Dracolite” that sells Medieval items etc. located at 6370 St-Hubert , Montréal, Québec H2S 2M2 http://bijouxmedievaux.com/english/
…thought you may be interested to know as well.

Happy searching!

Knights of the Renaissance?

Hello! I was hoping someone could tell me what kind of knights disappeared. They are the last parts of the early Renaissance? If this is, what were some of the differences between the Renaissance and the knights of medieval knights? I want to go to the Renaissance Faire this summer, but I wondered if I could use my knight Costume. I show that the games, so that would probably not be a problem, but maybe just to entertain people rather than historical matters.

Today there are still gentlemen in England, but their role is, of course, changed a lot. The decrease in Knightsbridge, such as the warrior class really come together with the growth in English longbow lethal weapons is reduced, we need leaders, such as knights fighting in battle. However, the use of mercenaries and militias formed also an important factor to reduce the traditional feudal bond of military service, and knights. The final death sentence necklace was really the development of weapons the most powerful weapons. Time of the Renaissance is a gentleman would have meant that they were probably the owner rather than a warrior, however, remained a popular gaming entertainment time armor plate, Henrik VIII, the fair continues to be appropriate to do so.

help them to work in Europe?

I am a man of 24, in Syria, I have my own studio here, I'm ready for a historic armor weapons and combat duty, and I have experience in a historic stone works, such as sidewalks and buildings, which was inspired by the historic festivals in Europe and then came the dream of Europe is to re-create medieval life or lives, even though he has not paid me very well (my product is not in the market here case), but I do not know how I need to go from here, are independent companies that can give me the remaining documents that I can still do your job? Or are there other ways to me to reside and work in Europe in medieval blacksmith? my target countries, Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, just need more information on the documents required if I need to send the documents back to my office for the army in Syria. Any help much appreciated.

Hi, As you have Syria, you need a visa to live and work in these countries. What does the visa process is not easy, I think that there may be some exceptions, if you just might get lucky. The first pages of embassies in the countries they visit in person 3 or Syria (showing interest in helping the process, after all). It is like the contact of the Embassy of Syria in the country through the information received. It is possible that could be sponsored by the company to get a visa, but it is very difficult process and the long term. You need to look at these initial data it should be possible for you. Depending on the situation, such as education, professional, quality of life, the state of civil, land, etc, which are divided into different categories to answer the question would be more appropriate. You can also try contacting some Syrians living in those countries to provide more information regerding how to achieve their goal. Most delicate of all means (and should not guarantee a visa!) Has been married a woman from one of these countries and the process should help. I wish you better luck!
